Gathering precise data on atmospheric conditions without ground support can be tricky. But precise high altitude air drops require detailed temperature, humidity and wind information.
Vaisala dropsonde systems provide the answer. A receiver installed in the aircraft collects timely information from disposable dropsondes. These parachute-borne transmitters measure atmospheric pressure, temperature, humidity and wind profiles from flight level down to the surface. And the receiver can interface with onboard systems to provide you the data you need.
