The Vaisala TacMet® Tactical Meteorological Observation System is the result of decades of airport installation knowledge. It can be configured as a portable, self-powered weather station. Or it can serve as an integrated weather observation system for permanent installations. The TacMet® provides real time weather data for applications such as temporary landing strips and drop zones.

Vaisala offers two compact solutions with full aviation support. The basic system provides wind, temperature, humidity, pressure and precipitation accumulation measurements. The enhanced system also includes cloud height and coverage, visibility/precipitation type and lightning measurement.
