Vaisala has detected a software defect in its sounding equipment, relating to GPS data quality control. Due to the defect, the soundings with uncorrected systems currently lack wind information or it is not possible to initiate a sounding with GPS wind finding. A software correction package for all versions of Vaisala sounding ground receiving stations is available on Soundings pages.
